Self-injury, also called self-harm, self-abuse, self-damage, and in its most broad and extreme cases, self-multilation, is the act of purposefully and compulsively damaging the self, usually the skin.  At least 1 % of the population, with a higher proportion being female, are self-injurers.

This chat room is offered as a place for Bipolars who self-injure to meet with each other for friendship and support.  Beginning April 7th, scheduled chats will be held every Monday evening from 8pm to 10pm. EST.  We hope you will join us!
