Hello, I am 16 years old and diagnosed with depression. I am currently taking prozac, but in the past have taken effexor, paxil, and St. John's Wart. What I am wondering is that maybe I am hypomanic, because of some of the symptoms I have. I often get great ideas, and then sometimes even by the next day I think the idea was stupid and I can't even think about doing it. I am pretty careful with my money, I want to spend it but know I'll regret it. I do alot of risky things and abuse drugs whenever I can. Most of the time I am depressed, even on 80mg of prozac which I have been taking for months now. What do you think?

The whole "what do I think" essay for you can be found on my website.  I wrote it to try to help people answer just that question (the diagnosis section anyway).  Check it out.  There is a chance that taking a medication for bipolar disorder, if that's what you have, will make it easier to give up the drugs too -- I've seen that happen more often than not, actually (or at least a major decrease).
