Q: Manic Episode Include Harming Valuables?
in the recent past i was diagnosed, with a type of depression and put
on medication for 4 years i stopped taking it but i plan on going back,i was
just wandering if a manic episode would include harm to valuables such as
hitting or breaking them?

Yes. A patient of mine just threw away a bunch of nice personal belongings
while in a manic phase, really destroying a lot of things with meaning to
him. Of course, people who get really angry can hit or break their own
stuff, even without having "bipolar disorder", so by itself it
wouldn't be "diagnostic".
