Q: How Do I Deal w/ His Mood Swings
My husband is currently taking lithium and effexor xr for bipolar but
he still continues to express the same systems as before without taking
medication. he does not leave the house for weeks at a time and he sleeps alot.
My question to you is how do I deal with the mood swings and the mean things
that he sais to me? It is emotionally draining.I thought with medication there
would be some stability in his life.

If you can get the doc's number, you can write or leave voicemail (she/he
doesn't need to talk with you, won't do so without a "release of
information" anyway), and describe what you see to make sure the doc's
