Q:  I was wondering if my urge to have sexual affairs could be result of my BP illness.  I am not looking for an excuse.  I just want to understand some fo the things I do.

Increased sexual activity, sometimes reflecting poor judgement, is a well recognized symptom of bipolar disorder.  It's one of the "excessive engagement in pleasurable but potentially harmful activities" behaviors.  Although that phrase there in quotes is a bit of a mouthful, isn't it nice to hear that it's so well recognized as a symptom that it could get that phrase stuck on it?
