Benny the Bipolar Pup

When Mr. Damay called the doctor he came running.

He said that Benny would have to be admitted to hospital.

When he arrived at hospital Benny was quickly admitted and made comfortable in a bed.

Benny was given a thorough physical examination and the doctor found little physically wrong with him.

When the girl from the lab came to take a blood sample Benny threw a fit! Nobody was going to stick a needle in him! No amount of wheedling and cajoling by his parents made any difference to Benny, but his frightened screams caught the attention of another patient, who came into Benny's room.

"Now what is all this commotion about" Mr. Bear asked as he walked into the room. He understood right away how scared Benny was and spoke soothingly to him.

"Hey, little guy, its only a tiny prick you will hardly feel and it will be all over. Trust me, I have had many needles in my lifetime."

Benny looked at him with tear-filled eyes, his crying fit silenced by the appearance of Mr. Bear. Mr. Bear waited by the foot of his bed, and in seconds the blood test was finished just like Mr Bear said there was nothing to it.

Benny looked at Mr Bear with still wet eyes and thanked him.
